Welcome to the Wyoming Attorney General's Criminal Division.

The Criminal Division represents the State in and advises the Governor on criminal appeals, death penalty cases, habeas corpus and other post conviction challenges, extraditions, and pardons. The Division generally advises the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Department of Corrections . The Division also advises the Division of Criminal Investigation , one of the Attorney General's direct law enforcement arms, including advice on gun permits, drug enforcement, organized crime, and identifying certain criminals.
