Counter Terrorism
Commission
The Counter Terrorism Commission was formed by Governor Geringer on October 2,
2001. The commission consists of four members and four sub-committees and
General MacMillan is chairman. The four subcommittees are: (1) Threats, Targets
& Vulnerabilities, (2) Prevention & Intelligence, (3) Consequence Management &
Recovery, and (4) Legislation. The Commission oversees and coordinates all
state level activities relative to domestic security and terrorism. The
Commission meets as necessary and reports to the Governor every three months,
or as directed, on progress toward meeting specific objectives.
